Probably because of the expectation you had when reading this manga. Maybe you’re like me.
When I picked up this manga, it felt like a breath of fresh air to finally see adults pursuing potential romantic relationships. I got tired of all the high school romances that continually stalls and drags the romance to elongate the story. I figured since this story is about adults, I wouldn’t have to worry about the bullshit typical romance rom coms bring in. But I was wrong.
Igarashi and Takeda have been at a stalemate with zero advancements to their relationship despite having slept together several occasions and having sleep overs. To make matters worse, the entire story feels like it’s more about Sakurai/Kazama and shota kid/Natsumi. Igarashi/Takeda duo are literally filler given the reduced screen time they get now.
Sakurai and Kazama still have a childish high school relationship where they are deathly afraid of admitting interest in one another despite being adults on the work force.
And the cherry on top with the author now forcing a shota child in high school to be paired with an adult woman who has at least 10 years on the kid.
I really enjoyed the first two volumes of the manga where the focus was placed on Igarashi/Takeda and their gradual interactions. I thought we had seen some progress in the Igarashi jealousy chapter but that was a lie.
I’m sadly now going to drop this. I mean the manga has been around for 4 years and 134 chapters only to still be here progress wise? Yeah no.
