Thanks for chap
So wait if the TA changes his future here, won't it prove the theory wrong that mc was needed for the changes?
on a technicality it can be argued MC is needed as he did facilitate a favorable situation (can't imagine many people would be okay even mentioning the idea of the forbidden magics let alone teaching the procedure to one)

its possible it could change w/o MC, but it'd more likely be too late to find, vet, and insert a new "teacher" whose job is to care about the students and able to deal with their individual quirks. At the very least MC has already established 2+ weeks of some familiarity with the students, it could lead to an unknown setback/shallow relations if the teacher were suddenly replaced again

It feels strange to establish that he, the #1 seat, was originally not part of 2-D after the initial grouping, and was sent there after the fact, when it was established earlier that Ibuki was #13 because he was a transfer student. By that logic, Shao should've been moved into class as #12 too.

If a student dies in school doing class activities, then how is it not the teacher's fault? Honestly I think the other teaching staff could use some work.

Well the seat numbers probably change after the ranks change. Ibuki is new and hasn't done anything to establish his rank, so maybe that's why.

He was already a top student tho, he fell because he started to skip and slack off after Luka's death

Of course Ibuki is not gonna be in the higher classes without doing anything yet, like you said he's a transfer student

There are a lot of stuff to consider (having in mind that we only know what happened by the account of a third party, and that from one side of the story):
  • For the teacher in question: was he doing everything by the book to prevent things before the fact and did he do everithing he could during the fact? (he might have being dealing with the other classmates during that time or something like that).
  • For the students: were they following the rules or did they wander somewhere they shouldn't while the teacher wasn't looking or something like that?
  • For the school adm: they are at fault anyway. Either for not providing enough assistance for the class if the curriculum asked for something that dangerous or for even puting something like that in anyway (even if they were just going to be near that thing, there should be at least a monitor to deter students to get too close). And after the fact they are surely so wrong in not providing the proper asistance to the other students involved (and just dumping his friend who suffered most is just evil... MC should have a new job!).
