From a girl's perspective, sexual harassment is such an everyday thing you're practically desensitized to it to the point sometimes if just doesn't register to you.
She probably heard "sexual harm" and thought "oh damn boys get groped on the train too???"--which is why she brought up that example, and the fact that a guy could be raped probably didn't even occur to her.
After all, She's clearly a very naïve, innocent type girl who believes in destined/fated love.
Just another miscommunication they will have to overcome. They are just teens new to romance.

Just hope that her confiding in her friend that "he told me of something bad that happened to him, that means he trusts me right?!" means that the friend isn't going to spread THAT info around and cause him trouble...

I give the girl the benefit of the doubt about the comparison as the MC did a half assed confession about his past trauma. What he said could range from a mild bad experience to the actual fucked up shit that happened to him but he sadly couldn't convey it clearly (not sure about the original japanese text but the translation points to this). I can only hope this misunderstanding will clear up sooner rather then later tho.

After she mentions having been molested she says "it happens to GUYS AS WELL", so she almost certainly didn't understand how deep the issue is.

I hope she's on the level but I'm not holding my breath.

Comparing truma in a relating way can sometimes have a negative effect.

She kind of downplayed how bad it was by Comparing it to the train.

I think the issue is she replied in a way that puts the truma on the same level when they clearly aren't .(seeing the long lasting effect it has on the mc).

Her downplaying it could be a method of cope, trying to move on like how he's actively trying to get a relationship, to live a "normal" life. Though we don't see the severity of her case, it won't be as obvious to see (unlike the MC since we follow from his perspective) until we get more of her on screen and we get clued in on her habits. Or until it's just thrown in our faces.

That said, everyone experiences things differently. What could be mild for one could burn for another.

OR it could just be a lie to ease the tension. But that brings into question her bit from a previous chapter about finding guys scary.

EDIT: Thinking about the title, if this story is about them two, then as a contrast, could she be the "Insensitive Girl"?

everyone thinks the girl is sketch i don’t think so at all, previously i assumed the girl was somehow related to the rapist but that doesn’t seem like the case, i think the artist is drawing her a way that may seem a bit sketch but ultimately she compared her experience to his (which is so fucking common everyone does it) not understanding that it was 100x worst. from the guys point of view he may be feeling some type of way because he could’ve developed a commitment issue due to the trauma (which may be the ultra realistic answer and least likely) or he subconsciously got a “ick” from her doing that. how i see this manga plays out is not the girl being abusive to him, but with the stigma of japanese culture with mental health ESPECIALLY WITH MEN. it will be a talk piece and they will most likely argue and she will most likely push his boundaries continuously too far until he either cracks and tells her or a intervention happens or alternatively they get better together and rapist shows up again. i don’t think this plot would go in that girl is evil because it does the character no justice, if he gets raped and then disrespected by women bro minus we’ll be gay bitches ain’t working out for him. but yeah sorry for no paragraphs story most likely will be them working together or trying to make this work.
