Bro. What. The. Fuck. There was so many routes this could of taken, but this is by far the most weird and strange one like wtf man
was really hoping for some drama and not just a "OMG we both got sexually assaulted?? #besties!!!!"
I just hope that her kinda downplaying this whole scenario leads into some sort of drama or story development

İts already pretty heavily set up to go in that direction tho? He is very obviously uncomfortable with her downplaying and comparing rape to molesting. She isnt actually trying to comfort him and emphatize with him, rather she thinks “he shared something traumatic from his past with me, i must be special to him.” She is thinking of herself. Very obviously conflict coming.

The mc literally says with his own mouth some people are unable to even go on trains so i think its treated properly. You just cant compare molesting to RAPE. The level of violation and loss of innocence cant be compared to really anything else.
