I mean, that's the fundamental thing in Ranger. So many of our characters have pasts that they've used to justify slavery, mass murder, or violence to some degree. Yakushi is the most extreme example - he was a victim of an attempted lynching for being against the war and sheltering a non-violent Inavder, so he took it out on humans at a ridiculous scale. It's less about justifying it and more about showing how anyone can justify cruelty, no matter how sympathetic their past. It's why Negi's been so clear to show various characters pasts not justifying their present actions.

After reread couple of times, I believe that the human girl burns his home after seeing him with the Invader (told him to live proper human life), her grandad must have known/seen it and want to cover for her ("I didnt see nothing"). The end the Invader kill the whole town and took over the girl's body (I feel like she now wears much morden cloth compared to the appearance before)

Honestly enjoyed and loved this chapter so much. Hell this is probably one of the best chapters too

The way he repeatedly says 'invaders should/shouldn't be like this' when his guest behaves unexpectedly makes it clear he didn't appreciate her for what she was as much as for the mental image he projected on her as an invader. All the worse if she adapted to that mental image.
