That was a great fight.
Ceres is living rent-free inside his head.

Now that I read the translation, the artist does hint toward some of the later stuff so I guess it wasn't a bad change.

Overall, I really loved this chapter finally showing us that Lyle isn't just someone who needs to rely on other people for everything. It puts his stupor into perspective as the culmination and subsequent snapping of a desperate genius who lost everything to an unstoppable force that no amount of effort could overcome. From a story standpoint, especially as someone who has read actively from the first chapter's release, it has taken a while, a bit longer than I would have hoped for, but in a way, that has made it all the more satisfying to see Lyle soaring again after watching him stumbling around with his wings clipped up until this point. I hope things can finally pick up now that this extended intro of sorts has finally reached its climax.

Nice chapter, glad to see the instructor changing her mind about MC and also him showing his worth plus determination to take on her sister.
Behind every successful military noble family is a wife that hold the reings of the relationship :pepela:

still a bit peeved that he somehow got nerfed still, even after showing he has the skills of someone endlessly playing catch up to someone unnaturally blessed by evil gods, but at least he showed enough to change the instructor's opinion of him. What happened with his mana tho, is it something like his sister's Evil God existence sapping his abilities to further her own and that's why he never reached her? Or was it just bc of his ancestors and the gem they're in?

Good lord yeah having the wives would be very chaotic in that room, but i love how all agreed that the kingdom must fall.

I agree wholeheartedly, it's been a bit of a mire emotionally and pace wise since he was cast out. It honestly probably wouldn't be anywhere near as bad without the wait, it's literally chapter 9 lol. We are here though, I think him being completely wiped out when he wasn't expecting it will also clarify just how much of an impact the ancestors are having as well.

A really solid chapter, MC has clearly showcased he's actually pretty capable. Less ancestors also helps us get more into MCs shoes.

Thanks for the translation.

It kind of got glossed over but he has a perpetually active skill draining him as well so he's getting sucked dry from multiple sources

That thing with the wives was an omake in the novel, just a what if the author included, and he explained that if Lyle had that many past Walts in the jewel at the time he'd be near dead from the mana loss.

@Cz760 He's not soaring yet, this is him just finally standing back up, after the beating his family gave him.

@Egakor their skills aren't built off of the First's, they need his to build Lyle up from the ground up. Each generation had their own set of skills, and they can't start teaching them to Lyle until he gets stronger.

The first's skills are needed to offset the mana problem. And even that is not enough for some of their skills.
I always feel the second head could just give him skills immediately since 2nd's skills hardly cost mana.

The wives omake was funny. As soon as the second head called her Mom, I had a feeling it was going to go full asian big family argument. Best moment was one in the succession asking to calm down the mother being met with a, no you do it, and escalating into an argument. A sleeping hell for lyle
