Seems to me this author's works aren't for you. This author is an action-adventure writer so a significant part of the writing is going to be devoted to action scenes. If you want more focus on people interactions, you should pick an author that writes more drama-focused manga. Maybe a kingdom building manga like Isekai Kenkokuki or How a Realist Hero Rebuilt the Kingdom. Why read an action manga when you don't enjoy the action?
cause mobuseka didn't start out as an "action" manga at all and just randomly flipped the switch going from 0 to 100 without ever going back. and aside from the short fight against the bandit chief, this manga is just old farts talking the same shit over the course of 16 chapters while ignoring the actual main characters.
if both works actually WERE action-oriented, i wouldn't have bothered with either. this is also why i initially asked if this manga gets any better cause it's just old farts talking boring shit.

Not sure we're reading the same thing. Mobusekai spent the first chapter setting up the world and 2nd half of the 2nd chapter was already in the action-adventures, lasting to the end of chapter 3. Each chapter spent in world and character building gets a correspondingly long action-adventure sequence.

funny thing about this chapter MC doesn't know what "growth" means and make shocks everyone :kek: he very stupid
he knows he is growing stronger normally (through experience, training, growing age, etc.), but the way ancestors describe 'Growths' makes it seem like it's more than getting stronger normally (like an instant power-boost/attribute boost) so it is reasonable for him to be confused.

If you think the romance plot is the central part of his mangas, you'll probably be disappointed.

The core relationship in Mobusekai was Leon and Luxion according to the author. The bromance was primary, the harem was secondary. I can see it being similar here where the relationship with the elders being the core of the story.

lol I don't buy that for one second--not one. Not that the harem was secondary to the relationship between Leon and Luxion--after all, the author himself evidently didn't care very much about the former, never mind the female leads--but that the core relationship of Mobuseka was theirs.

I read the Q&A part of this chapter... And saw the question about Novem's Objective. She has an objective on why Novem stick to Lyle and in fact, make a harem on him, Novem has also have objective with that too. But it'll be spoilers since I'm saying this after reading the Light Novel.

And don't worry. She ain't a Yandere, I can assure ya all that XD
Her method was apparently ineffective though, the constant babying makes the party way too dependant on Lyle when they were formed to help him instead. That's why the new member (best girl) gonna fix this for her. Please let the manga be far enough to get into Miranda story

Fairly sure it got so bad on the Yuri, the author actually had to do a 180 since it pissed off the JP audience.

Is that so? Then it's undoubtedly a product of the actual main relationship of this story involving the two that it does. If that yuri got that bad, it's because the author had no intent to connect them substantially to Leon; the author's solution, then, was not to fix the cause of the problem (i.e., his never intending to substantially connect the main heroines, in romance, to the MC) but maintain it--only reshaping it such that it didn't piss off his audience...from what I see so far.

What we have seen so far is basically the most we'll see out of Olivia's and Angie's relationship without Leon.. They're also sidelined for most of the Alzer arc.

As I've stated above, this author is primarily an action-adventure writer. Romance is definitely not his strong point or what he wants to focus on. It almost feels as if the harem is primarily there for wish fulfillment and fan service. Rescue the damsel in distress and inadvertently make her fall in love with him. His relationship with Marie has as much depth, if not more than, his love interests.
