They should have made it to where he couldnt tank that attack from his kids. Him being able to stop that attack is now what has me confused. Should have been a sacrifice, yet it looks like he's ok. So i dont know whats going on anymore.
While I partway agree with this, this entire scenario is a bit beyond the pale, unless further asspulls attempt to explain it. Either he should have fallen and died during his mad dash that disregarded his state and never reaching the arena (everybody would hate that ending for him, though) or this entire colosseum arc should have been handled a bit more evenly, considering tonality, logistics or hell, even basic logic. Shit's screwy left and right.
I just think this limp-wristed approach never manages to marry a more serious consequence attesting storytelling to less serious consequence ignoring one, but instead fails at them both.
