Because there is actually at least one team that censors stuff. UTOON and all their previous iterations have a bad rep for the most asinine censorship like reducing breast sizes, removing cleavage lines, and covering things up more.

You'd be surprised, there's a group I'm thinking of (uToon) that always censors all cleavage lines and some other stuff, giving the reasoning once "the advertisers don't like it" as why they do it.

First time I don't like Philo's equipment. Disgusting fake nails ALWAY look terrible, no exceptions. Tanned Philo and overcooked Daniela are fine, but those nails and the dialogue are straight up bottom of the barrel garbage. I really dislike the trashy gyaru look.

Yeah, I really don't get the appeal for some women who wear them. They obviously throw functionality out of the window for these, but even putting that aside, they make them look like old witches trying to make their horrendous traits more attractive and attempting to look younger, yet they just make them stand out more from their already atrocious image.

Those look to be "buy the tankobon" censor boxes. The digital publishing of chapters are censored by the publisher to push sales of the compilation version.

Sadly, I do know a TL group that adds censor boxes, I wish they were fuckin banned from this site.

They try to get people to pay to look at the chapter on thier site, which is chock full of ads and paywalled

There are in fact teams that do this. AGS for one. I think the series was called "Fun Territorial Development" where the team photoshopped out cleavage and blacked out thighs to look like yoga pants.

It was super jank cause it made the girls look like they had a mono boob.

Hoooly shit core memory unlocked, I forgot about that one and how they'd do it.
The worst thing about it was them being super-inconsistent about it. Sometimes they'd remove cleavage, and in the very next frame, on the same page, they'd leave it in.
