Too good it hurt the eyes too pure guy. Well the best way to transform evil into good is use somebody that doesn't have a clue(in the air stone room) transport prisoners et destroy the airship by "inciting him" to take the stone like a sharp one and once pushed it can't go back to the original place when he has ropes and the guard let him alone and run away before the crash.

People don't thing a lawyer and other similar job are like this play on word and evade tax too divine law work the same.

Very disturbing chapter.
“If he can only perform good or only perform evil, then he is a clockwork orange—meaning that he has the appearance of an organism lovely with colour and juice but is in fact only a clockwork toy to be wound up by God or the Devil.”

......So that flying ships magic barrier can't defend against the standard ammunition of flying ships? Sure, why not.

Also, Mirerus positive to negative conversion is a fucking Orwellian nightmare.

@gaigous: The ship was probably never meant for ship vs ship warfare but instead for transportation and rear support against enemies - e.g. from behind the own lines firing at the enemies on a battlefield or cover fire for flying units in the front against aeriel foes.
The idea of flying ship vs. flying ship probably never occured to the inventor because of how rare those flying ships are.
The risk of losing them would be too high so you would keep them behind your own troops.

The only reason to deploy them on the frontline would be that the enemies you would expect would not be suited to attack a large flying object - just like the group of pegasus knights would have been taken out if not for the MC's "log powers" and his aport ability to summon a wood log to his hands.

@Talh Transportation ships wouldn't have weapons, but they would definitely be built with speed for faster deliveries and defense to protect the cargo, especially with sky pirates being a thing, they probably don't even have flight paths or telecommunications towers, so it should be an industry standard by necessity.

@gaigous It's entirely possible, likely even, that with how rare flying ships are in this world, it originally belonged to a noble (because who else would have the coin for that kind of thing) who used it as a pleasure vessel only for it to jacked by pirates (at least, I think that's what they were, it's been too long since the last chapter), who then outfitted it with cannons; such a story wasn't all that uncommon during the Age of Sail in our own history, so that could be the story here and why a good sized armed vessel without the means to defend against its own arms exists.

Alternatively, think of it like a game of baseball: the average fastball speed of a major league player is about 90mph. Coming off the bat, the ball's speed can increase to 110mph or greater depending on the force from the batter. Even if you're wearing a helmet, both would kill you if they struck you in the head, but one's going to do a lot more damage. Now scale it up to, say, a 10lb round shot going about 230mph that gets batted back by a superhuman capable of wielding a magical log strong enough to not shatter under the force of the shot and you could probably go so far as to double the return speed; when combating armor, speed wins every time.

The log guy is back! Wonderful, even if I've forgotten half of the cast.
So, the best way to deal with evil people is to drown them in a lake? Mediaeval europe was right the whole time?
