Another one bites the dust. Thanks for all your work on this series, and here is hoping someone starts translating the next chapters in the future.

Passing familiarity does not equal plagiarism, you absolute moron.
The entire premise is basically a rip off and anyways deeming something to be plagiarized is subjective. It is up to the reader to decide whether a work looks plagiarized. Not even the specialists can agree of a clear definition and different laws apply depending on the country. Inform yourself before spitting bullshit dumbass.

It's a shame, but thank you for your work up to now on the manga. (That said, this manga is average at best. I wouldn't spend my money on it.)

A series getting licensed has never been an excuse to drop it.
The reasoning for that is because Manga-Dex (supposedly/hopefully) does not allow uploads of officially licensed series (OL) unless done by the publisher directly. This keeps copyright bots from taking the chapters and Manga-Dex down. (Obviously, this is disputable when unofficial translations of the manga in the same language as the native licensing get uploaded here, but I can't dispute that. I just read English.)

As for why MD or an uploader may stop, it's more like a line being drawn for uploads. The stuff put out before the OL may be fair game and "grandfathered in", but continuing crosses the copyright line. After all, the OL group has to catch up to the fan-translation (FT), and to keep going may bring accusations that the OL is losing revenue because of the FT.

No one wants to deal with any lawyers, let alone copyright lawyers, because they couldn't wait for the OL to catch up to them.

So some other scanlation group ("j-novel") has decided to snipe the manga? And not even doing it on MD? How did you even find out then? And would honestly prefer your tl's continue as I prefer staying on a single site :p (viva aggregators like MD!!!), no way I am going to start using some random scanlation-group's own site for a mediocre-but-fun title.
Thanks
But also I'm not reading this anymore I guess
Multiple of the mangas I've read that get picked up by publishers end up taking literal years just to catch up to the last chapter one dude or small groups of people translated on their free time
and then the mangadex page doesn't even get updated with official publisher links so that I at least know that they finally caught up to the translation
I remember when md spammed the feed with first chapter of a ton of titles, with some kind of automated account that posts chapters that only link to external sites. It was a good idea to aggregate those kind of titles too (much like how the aggregator "novelupdates" or "google" does things exclusively), but I found it very annoying that it truly spammed the feed.

However, your idea is one I really would have liked - have those external links show up in the feed for completed titles (or maybe completed volumes/arcs), so instead of getting spammed we only get notifs for the few that do manage to finish (as many of those notifs ended up linking at p2w sites too, it was extra annoying as noone would ever pay for something they don't know they will get to read to the end of. But if we [readers] know that it is complete? Way more likely to win us over).

Honestly hope you would do more, fuck J Novel. Fuck digital only models. They deserve no support imo. Digital only has proven to be a cancer to consumers.
