Don't really know were Dhalan Empire fits in, could be they are French indeed
Given the mention that Dhala is a republic, and a colonial empire on par with Albion, I'd say that, yes, France is the clearest parallelism with the 19th century powers.

I think it's less clear in their case than with Albion (England), Koenig (Germany) or Freedlands (USA) because the author mixed other elements in them, like a bit of Roman Empire, Germany and, heck, even England (Victorious is a very obvious reference to Lawrence of Arabia). The author might be trying to lead them to a more French path, since Koenig is being hyped as the new Big Bad in town, not unlike how Germany's rise and late (but energetic) colonial ambitions made both England and France nervous. We might be seeing an Entente Cordiale in the future.

As others have said, this budget China arc has been such a long drag. The blatant porn isn't even good anymore. Sure, seeing the girl experience the "meeting" by accident was amusing, but that's it. When you've seen an orgy in this series, you've seen them all already.

Can the author just wrap this up already? Get back to what made the series fun? AKA, bring Kai back and let him bumble his way through stupid situations again.

yeah this arc has been going for quite a long while, and it feels like so little happens each chapter, not great

Also can anybody tell me if there's a reason the koenig people look literally identical to the albion people? Is it because albion is obviously supposed to be england, and koenig is seemingly supposed to be germany (their leader is named ludwig and their weapons were called "überwissen"), and irl both places were primarily white europeans?? If so, I don't really see the point of doing this when they're in a fantasy setting with elves and other magical races

Why wouldnt they?

Are nations supposed to be entirely homogeneous? pretty sure Dhala isnt despite Dark Elves seem to be the most common but pretty sure we seen others, why wouldnt koenig also be of elves? after all the "English" are Anglo-Saxons ... take a guess were they originate? Whats so strange you can have two (well 3) Nations with a predominate Elven population? Do we have to lump every species under a racial banner? Humans certainly dont.

The problem isn't that they're elves too, it's that they look identical to elves from Albion. The main koenig character looks just like the prince's assistant, the military captain who loves MC, and the nurse in the school arc. And the soldiers look just like Albion soldiers.

People in this thread are saying Dhala is probably France, and yet they are elves with dark skin so they're distinct from Albion. Imagine if at the start of the manga Dhala men just looked identical to the side MC is on

Unpopular opinion it may be, but we've been at this for the past 3 volumes now. Kiiiinda wanna move on to a new arc sometime soon.
It's bland, archetypal Imperial Chinese harem political intrigue so far. Finding out that a foreign entity was inciting a civil war is also something we've seen several times now. The fact that this group is more elves also sucks.

Normally you'd see a lot of greased palms when it comes to political intrigue. Well, it ain't the palms that are slick in that "meeting"!

Thats not really that much different that reality, if you look at say PLAN Type-21 combat uniform and the USA OCP ACU they are mostly similar and you can go even further back to the Great War but I get your point that characters arent "visually distinct" outside Dhala that are Choco Elves.

I just counterpoint that Albion and Koenig can simply shared the same ethical population, perhaps at one point they were the same nation, there is no reason to why characters have to entirely district from each other, if you look at the earlier chapters you see Albion itself have non-elves serving in their military (chapter 5, page 40) and have we yet to see Koenig itself, at best we seen the figure of the Emperor and Giselle Muller that is a agent, also we seen the outline of another character that I will assume its none other that Kasha, Sakura sister. Point being we have not seen Koenig besides one character.

Edit: I forgot the car ambush, we do see Koenig soldiers that wear black trench coats and a cap so they are distinct both Albion and Dhala uniforms.

Also the captain name is Ligia Kratz that is rather unusual, might (and likely) doesnt mean much but it stands up on the usual "English" names that Albion characters.

For me, the pace feels alright. It seems slow because this time we had a LOT os schemers that working behind the scene. Previous arc, we only had to deal with 3 factions. Now, there are at least 4 factions that actively scheming against each other. In this chapter, they just revealed, the Koenig already had a headstart to start a war.

Dhala and Albion still gathering intelligence inside Huang Lia. Heck, Dhala even seems more active at gathering intel than Albion.

Sakura moving for her own agenda.

Huang Lia itself doing their best to survive without their emperor. With the succession race still on going while at the same time they had to keep the rebellion in check, they sure got their hands full.

I had a feeling, the climax for this arc will be chaotic and messy.

Also, the lady that stand next to the emperor of Koenig. She seems like Princess Kasha. I wonder, what's her reason to stand with Koenig.

There has been a huge uptick in the lesbian content. Starting to think author has a lesbian fetish, too. lol

Thanks for the upload.
