The divine book thing kinda makes sense. Maybe the world is gonna end by Harold destroying the world with his power instead of running away if the kingdom kept treating him like that at certain point.

The goals must be completed in order must be because Yona is some sort of succubus and that's the only way to ensure Harold properly fosters a healthy mindset instead of being corrupted or using Yona purely as stress relief

There is any number of valid "quests" that need accomplished long after repeatedly sticking a semi-cylindrical peg in a mostly round hole.
