@Legion_01 well considering all the stuff that happend with his wife. She either loses her virginity (probably not entirely willingly) to a rapist, or she gets flat out raped in a toilet, or she gets raped by the dude with the hoodie on after killing pushing fatty down the stairs (dude has a stun gun and rope/ducktape). safe to say that even if the dude didn't go back to the past she would have still gone to the training camp and dude with the stun gun would have still been there.

It makes me feel a bit conflicted, since the only reason he goes to the past is for a dumb reason like getting his wife's virginity, but at the same time by doing so he is saving her for borderline rapey scenario's.

@fanghue during the first iteration she didn't get raped nor traumatized. Imo he had a perfect life and his "gripe" was laughable at best. I like the idea of becoming a better man instead of being content with mediocrity, but so far he is just obsessed with his wife's verginity and he has not changed one bit. HE sounds more like a perv and a loser with each chap.

Thing is that the author specifically wrote things that way. Like, if Tooru knew that Mika was raped in the past, and when he leaps back in time he decides to do a good thing and protect her, that’s one thing. But it starts out with Tooru just wanting Mika’s first time, with all the other parts coming in afterwards.

@xyzzy We also can't forget that before all the time traveling, she has a pretty rough past before meeting MC. Hell, last chapter pretty much established why she chose him: he was the first one in a long time to show her true kindness, and she fell for him for that.

I can see why he wants to change the past to give her a better one, but it'll just be a more likely outcome that she won't be the same Mika as before, for better or worse.

@Legion_01 it's never confirmed she wasn't traumatized in the first TL by that guy. It's kind of eluded to that she did not enjoy it and had a hard time after so I think you're wrong and sure the MC is kinda dumb but let's not add any more idiocy unto him. He has plenty already. 🤣

Im seeing a pattern here, a little like Steins Gate, each time he travels he discover new stuff and at the same time the future gets worse and worse. This will continue until MC discover all the truth about her past and, if is going to go the same as stein gate, will undo everything he did just to return to his initial future, or will find a way to prevent all the bad stuff that happened to her and give up entirely on taking her virginity.

We will see how everything unfold. So far i like that things get darker and darker.

About the hood fucker, i kinda thinking is the first motherfucker that raped her at the toilets...but it would be too obvious, right?

@Legion_01 It's been pretty clear that she got date-raped the first time. She wasn't following them to have sex, and she had a romantic crush on someone else. Meanwhile that dude (original first) was very explicit that he'd have sex with her that day. (So much that he'd even kick someone down a set of stairs and rape her in a toilet if he couldn't get her otherwise.)
So first time was probably "I don't want to" - "Of course you do, you followed us here didn't you?"

I agree that his personal original gripe was laughable, and should have been solvable with a couple sessions of couple's therapy.
But once you get the ability to travel back in time.. well, feature creep sets in. Why solve your current problems when you can try making them not exist at all? XD

Let me summarize it since alot of people just don't seem to understand the loops
Original life - her first time was taken by a scumbag because that guy and her friend pressured her into it. It wasn't really consensual because it was social pressure not her own interest and she loved someone else but had too low self esteem to stand up for herself. Thus started a downward spiral of not caring who she went with. Bad life.
First death result - she ended up getting raped at the train station by the same guy. Scared of guys for years. Bad life.
Second death result - has psychological issues with self cutting and is trying to divorce him because of a picture that doesn't seem likely to be true. Seems like he was setup and didnt do anything. Worst life so far.

We'll see what the result of this try is. Also this is kinda like Re:Zero's Return By Death mechanic.
