This kinda feels in the same vein that tumblr post about x men where storm is like "they cant cure us we are perfect" to the girl that literally kills people she touches.
Like sure they might think what abilities you have doesnt matter but im certain that the girl who blows up people that tocuh her might disagree. And even our protagonist at best is a pocket light or a flashbang while they have all these opportunities afforded to them.
They really only can say it because they have amazing abilities.
