I can't explain why, but I really really dislike the senpai.
Throuples can be good—Show Me Your Love! does it well.
This just feels like a frustrating obstacle to progression, however.
It doesn't feel like anyone other than the senpai actually wants to be in it, so it feels way too manipulative/coerced to feel properly 'nice and wholesome'.
