Some of it. But from what I can see, there's never been formal acknowledgement of the actions of Unit 731, for instance.
fair enough.
but I'm not too sure what enknowledging it would really do tho.

besides, the stuff they found out there went on to be used by actual scientist in some manner.
also it would mean apologizing mostly to china, which, to be fair, you shouldn't do.

Probably not much, particularly this long after the fact. It's more of a symbolic move than anything else - clearing the ledger so the next generation doesn't have to rehash the same conversation again.
it's like your close friend stealing something from you and never apologizing until like a century later

except you weren't even friends until he stole that something

well maybe next time China shouldn't be such a bitch and get beated so easily. :boomer:

Jk, knowing China, thry probs don't care eitheir way, cause they don't even really care about their own citizens, they just want to be able to bash everyone and cry-bully all they want. (I do not have a good opinion of the ccp, the actual chinese people are fine most of the time tho)

Considering all the falsehoods in US news media, I wonder what 2010-2030ish history is going to be taught in 50 years. I mean, both sides claimed biden or trump lied about everything during the presidential debate. So, what's the truth? How do you write a historical document on that?

I hate getting political on here, but I will say I thought it was a bit weird when Assassin's creed casts were always pretty homogeneous to the area the game takes place in, yet when the location is Japan, they bring a black guy in. I mean, asians tend not to get a a lot representation in western mediums and if they are its usually in stereotypical roles like Shang Chi and Mulan (martial artists), so its a bit suspicious. Another example being how IDW made the human versions of the Ninja Turtles black. The NINJA Turtles who are supposed to be reincarnations of Japanese kids.

And, granted, going back to Assassin's Creed, there was Assassin's Creed Chronicles China, but it was a small spin off, probably not even developed by Ubisoft.

i heard about that i wonder how long its gonna take for them to infest this medium
I mean, most people I know who are into mangas are eitheir into the older stuff or treat recent releases as trash reads they try to pass the time mostly. so the actual quality of the medium has been mostly already going downhil for a while naturally cause of the prevalence of isekai.

so I'd say, just wait and if it does get quite bad, there'll probs be french made mangas which I heard are starting to get popular as an alternative.

first the rothchilds came for our tomboy mines, now blackrock comes for our manga
(real location btw : https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tomboy,_Colorado )

The Tomboy mines was amusing, but once I actually figured out what the second half was referring to, well...

BlackSTONE, not BlackROCK, has purchased a stake in Infocom (Mecha Comic's parent company). Confusing names, but the important thing is that BlackROCK (not the investor here) is the one that has everyone's hackles up for their ESG stance - they're the 'D.E.I. IS COMING FOR MUH ENTERTAINMENT' threat. BlackSTONE (who is the investor here) is a much more traditional style of investment company (though focused on so called 'alternative investments,' meaning 'not stocks, bonds, or cash') that practices a fairly 'hands off' methodology when it comes to the day-to-day operations of their corporate assets. This is a much more sound strategy in the long run; if you're going to pay a bunch of money for something that's working (i.e., making money), why would you change it? Just skim a bit of the profits and be willing to give some back to keep them afloat if they hit a rough patch.

I have no real expectation there will be any effect at all on the operation of Mecha Comics as a result of this purchase. I DO expect this will prompt some other investors to take a look at competitors in this market to see if there's value to be had, and perhaps one or another of those will buy a company and then immediately start to dictate policy, but this first acquisition isn't particularly concerning to me.

So the frenzy that has been whipped up over this is because people aren't taking ten seconds to read what's actually happening and doing a modicum of research on their own. Don't be one of those people.
