If it ended earlier than the WN, the manga probably wasn't doing well enough financially. Which sucks, but even though vtubing is pretty massive these days, it's still a relatively niche topic, so it's not hard to understand why, either.

The strange thing was if I'm pretty sure is that it does well on the publisher websites (most reads there or smth), even upwards of 100k views or more at the time. It also got nominated for manga that people want to be animated, doesn't rank high though.

The strange thing comes to why it's getting axed earlier in the end, popularity wasn't a problem since it's not unpopular.

If a guy is using a girl's avatar, they are honest about them being a guy, in case the voice didn't make it obvious.
Their audience doesn't care.
Parts of the audience even prefer it that way.

Interesting, I figured it would be more common.
In fact surprised as you have said that their isn't any notable instances of "catfishing" their audience.

I think its more due to the Crossdressing/Boy Vtuber part, Crossdress and Genderbend mangas are niche by itself, just look at the manga of the Dad Vtuber, no ine is translating it now, but the girl vtuber that drinked alcohol got an anime
