There really lacks logic in this why the “real father” appears only after the information is revealed to the whole country, or wouldn’t it be more logical to do the blackmailing when no one had made this information public yet?

And I also find it hard to believe that for so many years “maybe the real mother” would hide her love for her biological children (unless it’s some other relative).

Now a small theory the Father was aggressive, evil, maybe a drunk, and the mother, knowing the Shiunji family, asked Kaname and his wife for help (and maybe after the court case she won I added this to make it make sense and be in accordance with the law because I doubt that simply running away with the children would be enough) they accepted her into the family and also declared to raise the children.

I don’t know, this plot is slowly becoming more and more stupid.

This sort of thing has been inevitable since chapter one. The series has always been a drama first and foremost, and the kids all being adopted is the main source of that drama. I don't see how you could have read it this long while expecting it to present itself as a romcom. The drama is the whole point. Sure, it's trashy. But that's what we signed up for.

That’s not true the series was literally promoted as a harem romantic comedy, and this series doesn’t even include the drama tag.

I mean, worst case scenario, real dad abandoned them bc he didn't want them. Best case scenario, he sold them to adoptive father for whatever reason. Maybe he thought he wasn't capable of taking care of them but in that case he would have a good enough personality to be too ashamed to show up like this.

Imagine if Arata cuts that guy in the middle of his sentence with “so, a gold digger” flatly.
And when he try to say anything back, cut him again with the same sentence without giving him chance.

He’s not Arata’s biological father, so Arata is kind off the filially hook even if he say that. And if people are watching, it spells out for the public about who’s the bad guy; because public only swallow what is being fed to them, so if one side can’t say anything back they lose the first round.

There should be something called a drama axe, that cuts all the unnecessary drama in a series instead of, you know, axing it?

Then it will speed run to the ending, and people still call it axed.

Their maid is the twins mother holy shit now I have a scenario in my head.

I think the maid has some relationship with the deceased stepmother and stepfather of the kids and went to them for help when she was pregnant as it looks to me that guy who’s claiming to be the twins father has the looks of a guy who’s controlling and abusive. So asked them for help and they suggested to hide her children in plain sight as shiunji children.

Then I’m guessing the step parents hired her as a live in maid so she could see them grow up.

I agree I feel that might be the case. A guy randomly calling a young girl out in public making a scene then does it again. He’s stalking then spouting petty lies and making issues. He doesn’t sound genuine at all more like he wants to extort his own kids cuz they look good and are skilled. He doesn’t sound like a good father at all. Hope this doesn’t drag I mean it’s obvious he’s an asshole. If the author makes the obvious situation just gloss over it be so dumb. Hoping this arc of these siblings parents is short maybe two chapters max. I’m more curious of the other set of siblings. Hope Arata puts all his choosing feelings to the side and focuses on family like he always says. If this turns out to be rent-a girlfriend type of main guy I will be disappointed.

Seems the plot discarded Ouka as of the latest chapters. She kinda stomped on seiha's difficult to feel, looked down on Kotono's feelings, was insensitively oblivious towards Banri's grief for being in an abusive relationship and tried to make advances on Arata, but he refused them. Being Arata's equal doesn't guarantee she may win.

Imo the alternatives, as of now are Banri (let's be real: Arata was the one who caused this new predicament by trying to play hero against John Lennon, but at the same time, he doesn't feel as uncomfortable around her in private after that) and Seiha (because she's vulnerable and needs to emotionslly grow). I don't discard Kotono if it happens she isn't the other biosibling.

I don't discard anyone because this series can go for a long time, so I'll keep my thought that Ouka and Seiha are the best for him. That being said, I personally root for Minami lol
