I don't mind it being derivative of Solo Leveling per se, but I feel like the way the MC is shown to have extreme trust issues is just their hamfisted way of handwaving why the MC doesn't tell anyone else about the Shop. Clearly these things are going to spread and get harder given the equipment in the store, and he's going to indirectly be responsible for tons of people dying. If he cares about kids, he should be buying as many pairs of those scouter binocs as possible and handing them over to JSDF or something to keep these things in check.

He may be unlikable, but try to be in his shoes and go through everything he has gone... anyone would act like him for self protection.

But I also see this as the classic clichê of "I'm sorry for treating you like that [insert childhood friend's name here] it's just because I've been through so much and lost trust for everything and everyone until you came by again and show me things can be different" while the MC and the FMC live together and start to bond more.

I would assume this is because they are rank F, and later in the story the monsters will be able to see outside their dungeon and/or leave them. At least I hope so, otherwise it will get boring quickly...

I believe it was implied a few chapters ago that the skill book helped since he suddenly went slashing through a monster and was surprised, but with how much this jumps and cuts out, your guess is as good as mine.
