I think a bit of rearranging of events and flashbacks would have helped - if only to make it more immediately clear that Komaki did all that she did because she was in love with Wakaba, but had that twisted into jealousy-masked-as-hatred because she felt like she wouldn't ever be "special" to Wakaba.
Wakaba, for her part, thinking that the point in the past where Komaki had her Realization, was the point where Komaki became "inhuman" makes sense - but it feels like a lot of answers were just shoved into the final chapter, instead of maybe giving more hints or explanations sprinkled throughout.

Not entirely certain how it would be done, which is why I'm not the writer here. Just seemed like the final stretch tried to go "actually this was the reasoning all along" and it made Wakaba's about-face with Komaki feel a touch abrupt.

But in-universe, it all lines up, as far as the characters themselves go. Just reading their story in this sense made it seem a bit jumbled in terms of finding out the "why" to the "what".
But the art was cute, and toxic yuri has to be toxic yuri, after all.

And we got a literal proposal and epilogue for them moving in together, so I really feel like I can't complain when that's basically what I want most of the time in general.

All in all, glad I read it, glad it's over, glad it ended on a good note that made sense (even if I think it could have been conveyed/paced better), and it won't turn me off future yuri stories from the author, by any means.

And thanks for TLing this and bringing it to us, of course.

This ending feels like what you'd joke about for a toxic yuri as an "and then everything turned out okay because they love each other so much and they lived roommates ever after". Which isn't bad, it's nice there's a happy ending, but I feel like it kinda cheapens the rest of the story. "Your abuser just loves you sooo much" is a terribly dangerous thought irl, but while toxic yuri (and fiction generally) obviously is allowed to have characters think those things, I was hoping for a bit more introspection from the characters (or from the author tbh). Or at least Wakaba mentioning that what Komaki was doing was bad.

Still, the ending's very sweet. I will relish every extended timeskip yuri epilogue I can get.
