MC's brother is still an asshole and his treatment isn't exactly good, but I weirdly feel like his dad is being quite reasonable with him compared to most "failure" parents that fluctuate between loving the kid anyway and being irredeemable bastards.

Hopefully we see how Chia mastered her power to the point of usurping her own family head. I guess he has the power to drain mana? Or perhaps he was an empty vessel to hold her excessive magic potential for a while.
