It's cute, but the writing is kind of terrible and the premise is more a suggestion than anything - it's much easier to enjoy if you skip over the 'mortal enemies turned into nonconsensual parents' part and go into 'mortal enemies turned into bantering spouses'.

Gets more heartwarming and less rapey that way.

8.33 rating?
For this??

One of the problems with this site is the default rating provided by the "bayesian average" system is an 8. The other problem is that hordes of illiterates throw 10s at everything they read. The admins have zero desire to fix the system, either.

Simple solution would be to show an actual average, and shadowban / nullify the ratings of anyone who gives five series a 10 in a row. Until something is done, the ratings are essentially garbage.

To be honest, I checked out the light novel after reading the 5 chapters and it's much better than this adaptation IMO. It also has two volumes out (second is partially translated I think). I don't appreciate the Manhwa's slight changes from the source material and it's overall more childish. The characters come off as much more mature in the LN and the relationship between Rosvitha (LN spelling??) & Leon is much more entertaining with their crafted insults and Leon's minor schemes and inner thoughts to pull one over on Rosvitha.

It doesn't need to be more erotica focused as I think the best writing in the LN is the slow evolution of their relationship. It's a classic story about two enemies with a "professional" respect and physical attraction to each other that starts to maybe grow into something else. Say what you will about the premise, but surprisingly I find it to be a fun story about building a complicated relationship with family. I've never been known to seek perfection in storytelling and I don't think every character needs to start off on a moral high ground being that they're fictional.
Where can I read the novel? Can you please provide a link. Thanks in advance.

I finished reading chapter 5 then i immediately check the WN, oh boy it did not disappoint, i love the interaction between the MC and FMC, i love their interaction with their Daughters, i also love the interaction between the Kids.

Read the WN, i dare you.

The best synopsis i could give is "Two double S couple who's very kinky and likes to roleplay, also they have daughters"
Can you link the web novel please.

I enjoyed reading the web novel of this, it is like a more extreme version of Love is War where both mc and fmc are constantly trying to one up each other in almost everything including during sex. Both characters are big tsunderes.

The guy has been in a coma for 2 years and is extremely weak right now. He will get pushed around for a little bit while he is recovering but eventually he will turn the tables.
WHERE DID YOU READ IT

Please mate, I found translation on novelight but it's paid since halfway through and I binged it to that point and now I'm hooked
I found chinese "original" which I don't think is actually where the original author posts it, but auto-translator doesn't do it

Where did you read it?

I usually feel ratings are pretty accurate but how is this higher than even a 7, let alone 8? Nonsensical dialogue and character interactions, subpar art, and being just plain boring

I do not know if its the translation but the dialogue feels like its been written by a middle schooler. Conversations do not flow very well and its aggravating. Also Leon and Roseweisse also have no chemistry right now and while the sex is nice. It can only keep me for so long.
At least the twins are cute.

Let me try to explain, I actually believe it's far simpler than it looks. See, when @LinkedSet says
it feels like there's no seriousness or gravity to literally anything any character says or does.
he is right, but it's a good thing. It's good because it's comfy.

You can tell the general outline of the story from the first chapter: the protagonists move from being a pretend couple, where they have to pretend to have feelings for each other, to being a pretend couple where they pretend not to have feelings for each other, and finally to a genuine relationship.

You can tell that whatever challenges the protagonists face, they're going to resolve victoriously in a couple chapters. The twins aren't going to be killed, Rossweisse is not turning into a traumatized shell of herself after a rape, Leon is not losing a limb to swear bloody vengeance and waste his life chasing it, etc. All the issues before them will be without seriousness or gravity, even if presented as existential. Because the mango is light entertainment, a sort of wish fulfillment story.

Again, it is a good thing.
Consider how many mangos have the protagonist being secretly and unexpectedly the strongest as the base of their plot. Just off the top of my head - from decent titles like From Old Country Bumpkin to Master Swordsman (8.82) or My Daughter Left the Nest and Returned as an S-Rank Adventurer (8.70) to the trash like So I'm a Spider, So What? (8.94) or My Daughters, S-Rank Adventurers, Have a Severe Obsession With Their Father (8.13). The latter one has a rating above 8 despite its plot literally being the protagonist named The King being secretly the best at everything and having his adopted daughters lust after him carnally.
In comparison, this mango doesn't play coy: Leon's said to be a dragonhunting celebrity, and his powerlevel matches that; Rossweisse is said to be a dragon monarch with awesome powers, and that shows.

And you know that throughout their conflict the only thing that's really at stake is who gets to be on top this night.
It's relaxing.

I have actually read all the other titles you listed and you're correct, those are wish fulfilling power fantasy series that I also read as comfort food.

However what separates them from this manhua IMO is that they’re actually interesting, with compelling story telling and semblance of plot progression. Here there might be no serious consequences and nothing bad will happen, but that’s what makes it boring to me. Art here just feels subpar, with badly drawn expressions and overuse of cheap chibi in comparison to the other manga titles (except for Spider Isekai, but that story went from a 10 to 1 recently). The MC and FMC in this manga just feel childish and 1 dimensional, with a fraction of Love is War MC and FMC’s dynamic.

Like I could see this having a score of 7.8 maybe but just feel that >8 is too high, which was what baited me to give this a shot. Comparing this to S-rank daughters lusting for their father, which is admittedly trash just going off the that but I still think deserve the 8 rating for the amazing art style, the GOAT MC being an actual GOOD father that doesn’t see his adopted daughters as love interests (for now, who knows later on) and simply someone they can rely on, and interesting adventurer plot and action.

I see we have similar tastes in what we have read, but different strokes for different folks I guess. I personally read 10 chapters, rated this a 6, then dropped it.
