It's realism, dude, realism. Well, idk about kneeing her in the face, since it doesn't seem like our protagonist actually directly harmed this girl in any way, but as for the rest of her attitude, I'd be treating someone the same way back in high school if one of the most notorious assholes in school suddenly came to beg me for help and asking to be my friend. Fuck that noise, my time is more valuable than that. Hell, I didn't even know how idiots could study back then, I got all As in AP classes without needing to study, so I legit wouldn't have been able to help. I learned how to study in college at MIT lol.

The teacher, on the other hand, has definitely veered into unconscionable territory though.
