I think ange still nice. If she want spotlight, she just plant it without telling jelly to plant together. The villager already depend on Ange from the start to create the plant. She can get most credit from it but don't.

that part kinda weird me out. Unless he swung it pointy-end out and snagged onto his dad's side and it stuck into him that way, I don't see how that amount of blood loss occurs.

Or it wasn't properly drawn/rendered out to indicate his dad got stabbed, or it's some sort of "misremembering" on Leon's part and what he recalls isn't what truly happened, for Plot Reasons.

If it is a sturdy piece of wood and you swing it hard enough, I am pretty sure it is possible to break the skin on the side of the belly and rupture the stomach. That might be what happened.

Are we gonna get any resolution on the guy who fell a few chapters back?

We didn't see a body it's implied that he died but those doggos he fell with could've cushioned his fall if not another 'water creature' saving him but idk if they would've sent a 'search crew' for him b/c ppl were prioritized on making sure jelly was ok?
