Blame the manga for cuting the other students chapters.
We're supposed to already know Sophia (the baby) because she's is a recurring character in Shun (the other Main Character of the novel) chapters.

The point is that Shun' story is happening 16+ years in the future. A lot of things that happens in Kumoko' story are foreshadowed first on Shun' story.
- The Demon lord appears on volume 3 in Kumoko' story meanwhile she's mentioned in Shun' story since volume 1
- A lot of side effects of several skills are mentioned in Shun' story because he has a Skill Encyclopedia

But this conection works in both ways:
- While reading the skill encyclopedia Shun mentions that there's not a skill that boos EXP, obviously we know that that's a lie because Pride. This means that someone is trying to hide the existance of the Ruler Skills.

I’ve read up to this point, so from where should I read in the novel? I’ve found the chapter myself but the chapters afterwards don’t make much sense to me. So from which chapter should I start reading? Also, is there any translation of the early chapters except turbo translation?

If what you found was something like chapter 1XX, that's the Web Novel. Do not read the Web Novel.
The manga is based on the Light Novel which change events and adds several new arcs.

This chapter is the very end of volume 4, if you want to jump to the Light Novel start in Volume 5.
Note: To make a full jump to the Light Novel you need to read all the other students Skipped Chapters. Buy or download (whatever you choose) volumes 1-4 and read every chapter that starts with a letter (S, K, Y, etc) and the interludes.
