What a weirdly specific thing to throw out the window.

I don't particularly want to defend this series (I don't even read it regularly, just drop by once in a while) but why do you guys still comment it on chapter 55 if you find it so terrible?
Just drop it, that's what I do for series I really dislike.
This happens with a lot of series.
I also do what you do and just ignore series that I dislike... because I dislike them?
I don't understand why people do it either, but it's probably because people enjoy saying negative things / the engagement their comments receive.

The answer is morbid curiosity.
Personally, Im not even actively following this series. I just skim over new chapters because I want to know whats that girl problem/motivations. Once its revealed, Ill probably drop this series for real.

I will explain:
1) They were invested in the story once but grew sick of it BUT they are interested in how the series will end........
2) I had a problem for a big chunk of my life, i rarely give up on thins (i've changed finally). So when i start to read i rarely stop reading it. So just imagine it like that: I feel like i'm forced to eat shit because initially i tasted sugar but now i can't stop. You know you can quit anytime but you can't.
So I'm grateful for negative comments with some spoilers, they prepare me and NOW they safeguard me from shitty series.

FYI: I stopped reading this dumpster fire at chapter 14(+/-) But like japanese commentators say: I'm in it only for the great "reveal".
I check comments sometimes and randomly click on chapter to finally see what was the reason for her idiotic, cheating and cryptic behaviour. (I don't even read anything but check for images where they speak, everything else i dismiss)

The entire series is basically Shizuku inventing a problem, refusing to solve it, then blaming it on the MC. For people saying he should have slept with her, Shizuku already said she can't or won't be with him. So what would taking her virginity do? Nothing.

She is committed to NTR for some reason and refuse to stop. She was the problem from the get-go.

I give your respect for saying this. I previously already stated him refusing her is a single good thing about him BUT his refusal is indeed weak.

Now freaking imagine 2 of your best friends start to date, yeah you love(like) her but well....what can you do? Of course you can soil your own self-respect and morality to bang her but will those relationship last? Relationship built upon dramatic situations (cheating) usually don't last. But i digress, anyway, that girl who you liked suddenly starts to sexually approach you but keeps saying that we will never be together (to be honest you don't even need that 2nd part if have moral integrity). Will you ruin your friendship for sex (maybe few sex sessions)?
I personally would not, i would even go as far as to record this and show to my best friend, she might have been my friend once but what she did is actually what i would not forgive IRL.

Lastly MC's in-ability to ask questions is freaking frustrating, one time in your life when you need to directly ask questions you somehow got cocks up your throat. Normally you would ask those question then if both of them refuse to tell you, fuck it, you just lose to POSes in your life. POSes that create unnecessary drama between themselves and also want to involve you.

In high school?
In a heartbeat.
I remember what it was like being a constantly, desperately, endlessly horny teenager.
I'll make no apologies, I would have sold my family to a cannibal if the pussy was that good.
I would not have cared about any consequences- especially between the ages of 14 and 16.

I'm older now, so obviously I wouldn't now, but back then? In a fucking heartbeat.
If you say you wouldn't do that as a horny teenager, you're either delusional, lying, or you're extremely low-test and should see a specialist.

You do understand that even teenagers have moral integrity, right?
It's called low-impulse control that is commonly seen in narcissists, sociopaths and psychopaths. If i really needed to release at the age of 14 and i didn't have a girlfriend, I already had internet, TV after 23-24:00 or porn magazines.

Also i lost my virginity at the young age and the understanding that sex is overrated came quite early to me, so understanding that sometimes masturbation is better than sex (Some girls aren't worth it, be it physically(stench for example) or mentally).
In any case, the only person i would cuck would be a person i didn't like at that age, now though? Nope, never. Fidelity was important to me even back then and now it only became stronger consequently my intolerance towards infidelity grew even stronger.
I worked, seen and read what infidelity does, it's a betrayal sometimes worse than death that usually involves more than 2 people even.

I think one of the biggest issues with the whole MC/Takuto/Shizuku situation is that the story is constantly telling us that they're all best friends, but what it shows us is that MC clearly doesn't consider Takuto that close of a friend, otherwise he'd absolutely let his BEST FRIEND know that his girlfriend is coming onto him. Like I mentioned earlier, Takuto is simply a poorly written plot device for the NTR between Shizuku and MC. Shizuku is also a poorly written plot device for story tension and seggs. Umimi is a slightly less poorly written love rival character (
who also SA'd the MC
). MC is your classic spineless, milquetoast, wiener, who also happens to be so perfect that all the girls fall for him romcom MC.

Yako is literally the only redeeming character this manga has, and she's hardly in it.

Also, to all the people complaining about people complaining, liking or considering a manga good is not the only way to engage with or experience it. I think this manga is absolute dog water awful, but I enjoy the experience of reading it (and hating it lol).

This is the token chaper to remind us there's a plot somewhere, but now we're going to cut away from that again for another 20 chapters.

Have we seen MC talk to Takt, like at all?
In the first few chapters of the series, like when the three have their sleepover, a little. Recently? Chapter 48, pages 4-11, the chapter right after Minase disappears, they have some screentime together being weird zero-chemistry bros. Riku is depressed that Shizuku's missing, and Takt notices and is seemingly annoyed by it. He tells Riku she's doing fine, implying they're in touch (no confirmation.) Riku is characteristically incurious about this, and seemingly hasn't brought it up or talked to Takt about it in the intervening month(!) and gets distracted half-remembering that there was another time in the past when they were split apart, which is never elaborated on. Takt then sets up a competition (callback to early chapters) wherein if Riku's class beats Takt's in votes at the festival (two days from today's chapter,) then Riku has to do whatever Takt says. Yes, that's basically backwards from what you'd expect. Takt departs with a smile and wave that I can only describe as fake-ass-lookin'.

No they don't. I was a teenager once, and I've raised four of my own. Once they turn into raging inferno of hormones, reason and morality go right out the fucking window.
I acknowledge my stupidity while in the clutches of the teenage condition.

I'm pretty sure teenagers are all of the above.

There's the weirdly specific "i won't shower but baths are okay" phase,
The phase where you quietly dispose of things that shouldn't have been used for masturbation but were,
the "I thought you were friends with [X]" "Oh we're friends now but we hate each other" phase
the "my parents are TOTALLY cringe" phase,
...and a few other phases that are probably specific to my own children.

The rest of your post is posturing for the audience and high-grounding.
Try being a little honest with yourself- better yet, try raising a few of your own (or don't, you sound overwhelmingly horrible, don't breed for nothing else except my sake, if for no other reason) and leave it at that.

Yeah no bro, most teenagers can grapple with the nuanced morality of, lemme check my notes, not banging your friend’s girl. That’s precisely WHY it’s socially acknowledged as a dick move, because doing so is atypical, deviant if you will.

The frustration is hilariously funny to read in these comments.

If you're frustrated by the plot, the Mangaka won.

If you're sticking around to see what happens next no matter how stupid every chapter has been, the Mangaka won.

In short, this is like the Entity in MI: Dead Reckoning. It already knows your next move.

The wisdom is to go back to the 1980s - and specifically WOPR's awakening. "Strange Game. The only way to win - is to not play."

I hold zero illusions that this a plot that even rubs two neurons together. Just read it, nod, and understand that like R-A-G, it's designed to pull you in by it's very obtuseness. It's click-bait writ large. Don't reward it by spewing your soul in these comments. Let it pass through you and around you.

And - oh yeah - notice how the timer has stopped on the end frames? No more countdowns. He knows he has you.
