@RoseYuri
No idea, it's one of the things that makes this different from the thousands of regular romance manga. If I had to guess it's because if Kaoru get's any cuter then there will be no return for them they will fall in love with him!
I myself don't mind, but the series isn't really what the title made it out to be. It's not really "Hanging out with a Gamer Girl", but more "Hanging out with a Trap Friend". Like what exactly have they done that's game-related? Aside from that one time regarding the MMO chat shenanigans, the author hasn't really done much with the concept. Nanami kinda just plays games in the background and that's basically it.
I'm a bit of curious.... is that on credit page kaoru in girl ver? because her hair looks the same as kaoru....... ofc it's not trap ver right? .. becoz of bewbs..
@undercurses Nobody's sure what the deal with that is, as far as I can recall. The topic has come up several times in the comment sections across the chapters so far, but without going back through each of them now I couldn't tell you if anyone finally explained what the deal was based on some form of actual evidence rather than just saying whatever they think of it personally. It's entirely possible it has nothing to do with the actual story's continuity, and could just be a full genderbent version of him the artist drew because they felt like it one day, and that's my own guess.
@Bengon The real title is "Sometimes reality lies too" (The name of the manga) or "Making various stories with a friend that likes games" (The pixiv name) not Hanging out with a Gamer Girl (If my Japanese isn't too garbage)
