Today I will still continue with the witches' Sabbath, seeing as Walpurgis Night lasts from April 30 to May 1. Thus today I chose the "Songe d'une nuit du sabbat" from Hector Berlioz's "Symphonie fantastique" Op. 14. This piece is the musical rendering of an artist's "dream of a night of the witches' Sabbath".

@Tamerlane I'm both a JoJo and a Beatles fan, but it's from Kubo and the Two Strings that I first heard "While My Guitar Gently Weeps" (only sang by a girl), and it was from there that I fell in love with The Beatles.

I love punk rock so I'll give NXP a shot.

Though I am a nondrinker with conviction, it doesn't hinder me the least to listen to and like drinking songs, particularly seeing as in the European Middle Ages water was anything but safe to drink, coffe, tea, and cacao weren't known yet, and milk and other drinkable dairy products were reserved for young children, the sick, and the elderly, leaving only beer, wine and other alcoholic drinks as the only possibility for the vast majority of people to quench their thirst.

My choice of the day thus is "In taberna quando sumus", a Latin language drinking song from the "Carmina Burana", the famous Medieval monastic collection of poetry and song. Modo Antiquo perform this piece as if they really were in a Medieval tavern, thus bringing back to life not only Medieval music but also a part of Medieval life reality, though it can be duely doubted that most customers of Medieval taverns were proficient in Latin.

A Tribe Called Quest - Check The Rhime

Off the classic hip hop with elements of jazz record, A Tribe Called Quest manages to incorporate interesting social commentary alongside humor on The Low End Theory. Undoubtedly one of the greatest hip hop albums of all time. :)

My choice of the day, though of yesterday rather than today, is the beginning of "Pavaen en gagliarda 10" composed by Cornelis Schuyt, an early 17th century Dutch composer, and performed by Musica Amphion. The music itself shall tell the rest.

Tyler the Creator- Garden Shed
https://youtu.be/-VgLwAjz4oA

Off the album flower boy, Tyler becomes emotionally vulnerable, showing his feelings he had been guarding to all. In my opinion, this album is easily a top 50 of this decade, quality stuff. In time, it may be regarded as a classic, who knows?

Today I have chosen to temporarily leave our blue planet to meet "Jupiter, the Bringer of Jollity" from "The Planets" composed by Gustav Holst.

My choice of the day is again an example of music archaeology. The "Melody from Hultebro" is a traditional Scandinavian folk tune performed by Ensemble Balticum on reconstructed Viking age instruments as part of the European Music Archaeology Project.
