The Japanese raw said DV, domestic violence, I try to stick with the source as much as possible. About the story, of course the manga would start off quite mysterious, it's better to slowly read it in my opinion.

The Japanese does not map one-to-one with English. He made no mention of anything violent to the other woman.
Leaving things unexplained and being mysterious are not simply the same thing. It does not make sense for the story to be told as it has so far.

I mean domestic violence doesn't necessarily means the violence have to occur physically no? The wife is abusing his mental health to the point that he's not even allowed to talk to them.
