Yeah gonna be honest this is pretty enjoyable, except for one thing... the cliffhanger. Though I'm guessing the next one is gonna be the costume and marin in it. AARRGHH just thingking about it makes me smile 🫠

Yeah I completely agree, I didn’t care for the beginning, but after coming back to this arc after I been teaching myself how to draw has honestly made this my favorite arc… when wakana sent that text I got so hyped

I don't know why would people dislike this. I'm personally am so bored of the same old romance/romcoms that this makes it way more interesting for me.

Do a search on manga about cosplay. JUST cosplay. Volumes and volumes of it. Compare the number of works/reads to a popular romcom. Let's say romance is a SLIGHTLY more universal topic than fine fabric selection...

I totally understand him. It's the concept in how it'll look, feel to the touch, the weight and structure. I appreciate the artist fixation. Gojo's a great character, and I'm happy that he's going through artist purgatory.

Watch as Marin squeal like a total fangirl over the finished product, yada yada "OMG Gojou you're so amazing making this I LOVE THIS SO MUCH" and then she literally morphs into some eldrich vampire shit from that series and become unrecognizable as Marin and Gojou went "omg that's totally X from Y series, such a good cosplay" and then they upload photos on the net and people go crazy.

And then nothing happens again.

pretty whack that people are complaining about lack of romance when this manga has been cosplay-focused since the beginning, as well as Gojo's growth as a craftsman. It was the anime that went on a different path to focus on the romance.

Did yall just watched the anime and started the manga from where anime ended or something?

And I'm dying to see this costume done. Bro's gonna hit a peak of his costume making career with this one

Actually, the only thing left is for Gojou to learn how to do the Bisque Doll-style makeup for Marin.
The Bisque Doll namesake will now finally be surfaced in this arc.

The plight of an artist and the desire for perfection are fantastic themes to work with we got glimpses of it from Gojo several through the series times but going full in is fantastic.

I wonder of "Mandate of Heaven" will be made into a real series, unless it was considered too 'edgy' by editors and then getting success wit their romcom and them inserting it as an important "plot point/arc" and going like "Aha! Now you HAVE to listen to me infodump/lorebuild about these characters/concept"
