im happy so many people are enjoying this 'arc' but for me, im at the point of dropping the manga
if the next chapter is more of the same i most likely will, check back in three years or so to see if they went back to the romance part

I know a lot of people will disagree with me here, but I actually like this arc. That's his own struggle that doesn't have anything to do with other people, and I find that pretty motivating

I like the arc too but I feel the pacing of it to be a tad slow.

I just want to say every time a chapter is release there is just more and more of Marin's variants who already got their cheek clap by their Gojo's from their dimension. Doujin sphere is truly a terrifying space and Marin prime is keep losing to her other counter parts.

actually a good way to look at it. cause as much as i want the author to have fun drawing this, the arc drags out waaayy too long and it's boring af.
i know that she's probably wanting to draw a big thing (most likely not a confession) for chapter 100, but there are better ways to fill the chapters up until that point.

Ch 100 is going to be marin appearing publically in the angel outfit, and she is going to be about to confess but then Gojo is going to act completely autistic and ruin the mood

I’m mostly indifferent about this whole situation, but people tend to forget that what made people come here WAS the romance
To quote someone in the previous chapters, “People came here for the romance, if it had no romance, no one would fucking read it”

And I agree with it. If this wasn’t a romcom, nobody would fucking read it. Besides that small niche of people who really like cosplay. So props to them I guess.

I'm with you on this ! This arc is really interesting despite what the romance "extremist" are saying !

It is interesting and, as much of a "romance extremist" as I am, I realize that the romance being secondary to the whole story is what makes the few in between lovey-dovey bits hit hard. Tension and resolution are fine tools in the storyteller's toolbox. Still this arc, being mostly an inner monologue with slices of exposition, feels like it would have worked better in a book than it does in a manga. I wouldn't complain about this arc as much if there was at least a few interactions sprinkled in the middle of Goujo's obsessive inner exploration.

(for some reason jp authors seems to think that romcoms die when couples get together).

I know it's a low hanging fruit but how many manga authors actually have experience being part of a couple? That might be a bigger issue for them than the fear of losing readers' attention. And of the very few romcoms that don't stop two chapters after the confession, how many manage to keep things interesting? Often it just dwells into Iyashikei with cutesy couples being all sweet and in loooove. It feels like many authors just don't know what to do with a story about a couple. There are exceptions of course (Ase to Sekken, Otaku ni Koi wa Muzukashii or Yamada-kun to Lv999 no Koi wo Suru for instance)

It is done. I am so looking forward to the masterpiece (it better be) of a costume he's accomplished for Marin to wear. Also, since this chapter also set up the possibility, maybe the kimono too on Marin. After 95 chapters I'm long since past begging for the romance to continue, it will continue when the author deems it. I'm actually hoping that Wakana has grown more as a character by the time it does, rather than push it when he still has things to develop in his character or major flaws to fix and then have that insecurity rear its ugly head to ruin their chances.

Because we loved this manga once.
We all had a crush on Marin and we all saw our spergie selves in Gojo.
This was the manga that seriously got me invested in the medium.
You can't blame us for not just cutting our losses.
