Googling, suggests you think he refers to dwarf fortress? I can't figure out how that is lood, but seems like the best bet nevertheless.I see you're a gentleman of culture. Strike the earth lad !
I REALLY like this arc, it's really good. As a creative that obsession with portraying something properly, even feeling unworthy to portray it in the first place is a very real thing.I know a lot of people will disagree with me here, but I actually like this arc. That's his own struggle that doesn't have anything to do with other people, and I find that pretty motivating
seeing how this author is female, chances of actually having been in a relationship are higher.I know it's a low hanging fruit but how many manga authors actually have experience being part of a couple?
There should be room to convey how invested, obsessed and exhausted Gojou is during this arc without the need to fill several episodes. Crossing fingers. The one time I hope the anime makes changes. I hope this part isn't half a season.
I know it's pointless these days, but you might want to look up what that word really means. Just use google and type "definition of the word toxic".You guys somehow make the Gamefaqs community look less toxic.
Congratulations.
i feel like part of the romance is him going so hard on the costumes he makes and blowing the minds on other characters with his superpowersCall me when the romance part will resume
Okay lol"definition of the word toxic".
His dad and mom are dead, he only have his grandfather which could help him in this situation. But when you are as focused as him in this kind of situations you forget things that could help, even if you're not a stubborn personYou are right. About the disagreeing part
Jokes aside, I do get what you are saying (an arc about mc's struggles with his craft, without romcom shenanigans - something I would have loved to see... in another manga ), but I also feel like what this manga excelled in was the romcom with a reasonable fmc who were advancing their relationship rapidly and didn't take "boohoo i'm an otaku trash who hurts you by my mere presence" for an answer. A far-too-rare strength that is sad to see put aside.
Then it never delivered, over several arcs. And this arc is effectively acting to pause any romcom progress entirely, and reset things so author can milk it further in the future (for some reason jp authors seems to think that romcoms die when couples get together).
In addition to that, I find this arc far too detail-oriented, going more edutaintional than entertainment (feels like author went all-in on research, and enjoyed it too much and needed some arcs solely to get to talk about the fun stuff he learned). And yet insists on further milking any and all "issues" wakana has, by not having him ever asking anyone (relevant) for help.
Some textile he knows he has seen but can't find in cosplay stores? He should obviously ask his dad, or specialized stores he has prolly been in before (could even have them unable to answer his query, just unrealistic that he didn't even think to ask them and only asked others instead).
Unable to get a certain strong white he desires? Again, ask specialized stores (instead of cosplay ones), textile or even down to the companies actually dyeing. And even then, his dad prolly knows who to contact when you need specific colors/patterns for your textiles.
Overall, too much details while at the same time too little (not enough to describe the entire thing), as well as describing long periods of looking for something without him ever realizing to go for low-hanging fruits as he's stuck - which makes it feel like something is inflated for 'drama'/tension, rather than being a realistic issue.
See pointless, it's nice and easy on your part to just call everything that apparently upsets you 'toxic'. Then again wouldn't expect anything less from someone misusing (or more like abusing) the word. 😆Okay lol
"very harmful or unpleasant in a pervasive or insidious way"
Yep, checks out.
But more importantly there are more ways than just one to use "toxic." In this case, "A toxic person is anyone whose behavior adds negativity and upset to your life." Though in this case that would be that you whiners who add negativity to the overall MangaDex experience.
This is not some action story with high stakes plot. It's gonna have its slow moments as it builds on its characters, and this arc is very in-fucking-character for our boy. If you don't like that, stop wasting your time with it. Otherwise, you're just ruining the conversation for the people who do enjoy this. IN other words... you're being toxic.
holy shit man, take a chill pillGoogling, suggests you think he refers to dwarf fortress? I can't figure out how that is lood, but seems like the best bet nevertheless.
In that case, I want to point out that "taken by a fey mood" is proper, regular, english, and unlikely to've been a reference to the game (now wait to see me proven wrong! xD).
And looking for etymology (to ascertain whether it was so before dwarf fortress as well, and not just something entering the language as a result of the game), first result is a quote from tolkien... I guess it serves well as a source, but really hoped to find actual etymology instead of further nerdy sources that makes me question if they coined it, instead
