Mear is definitively checking the goods here 😊

@SSDCZX :
Aria (the childhood friend) didn't pull anything, in the LN it's the hero who tried to pull something by attempting to steal a kiss from her while they were on the balcony, going with the assumption that the hero should always get the girl and trying to make a fait accompli in front of everyone (that was Wazu saw), but she stopped him by socking him right in the kisser (punching him in front of everyone, served that creep well), unfortunately Wazu was already running at a ludicrous speed and turning his back to the scene when she did it...

I think the novel's way of this chapter was wayyyyy cooler. At least the web novel.

I'm gonna be honest I've read almost all the WN (missing the last 10 or so chapters since It's sad to finish any series) but some of the events in this arc were better portrayed there.
As an example Wasu removing the curses was actually done in an open field where 2 armies from each bro and sis were about to clash, making it so that the conflict because of the curses had escalated up to that point.

The LN and the WN end up differently. In the WN his childhood friend forgot all about him and ends up with the hero as she fell for him during their journey. The Hero was a legitimate hero after all and not a fake. Later on in the WN they finally meet and end up having a conversation where she apologizes to Wazu, about mostly forgetting him and they decide to move on with their lives on somewhat amicable terms. Although Wazu avoids talking to her for the rest of the WN.

Then the author messes up the whole situation when Wazu and the Hero have a duel, for political reasons, and the Hero turns out to be a massive jerk. Wazu one shots him into the ground and everyone that isn't apart of Wazu harem laughs it off as the Hero not keeping up with his training, even though Wazu is literal demi-god at this point. So you are left wondering what the hell she sees in hero.

As said by other, the LN changes the situation as Wazu's sister and the childhood friend are racing to see who can find Wazu first. The Hero having already been dumped.

@Vman thanks for explaining the whole situation. Do you also know how many chapters it’ll take for the reunion etc?
