It's not like he would have seen her naked on the balcony, anyway. He got the cental idea and his impression of her natural form (not a delibare pose) from what he saw outdoors and merely repositioned the model when drawing her back in the classroom, naked. But sure, it's definitely harder. But he didn't need to rely only on his memory. Thanks for the translation again.
Did he draw her from memory in the studio AFTER seeing her on the balcony?
That's definitely harder that drawing the pose that's right in front of you. If so, MC wins by miles.
But I guess he drew the rough sketch quickly outside, and only enhanced it afterwards inside the studio. Though it's not super explicitly shown, it's more believable.
Yes, I agree. He definitely got the model's vibe and 'true beauty" on the balcony and projected that afterwards. That's kinda the entire plot, here. It's not like he would have seen her naked on the balcony, anyway. Can't disagree here but I guess the only thing I would say is that this chapter has a prep class setting with an open vote instead of an examination. My sister used to do these sorts of drawings (got a piece in a museum for a time) and she was stressed all the time and with what she's told me all of this is just fluff comparatively. Hopefully there will be a chapter where MC has to adhere to proper exam etiquette because he's a novice when it comes to it.This manga makes me feel weird being an art student that went through extreme examination. It kinda overly romantic the “artistic” normal people tend to think of artist, while in real life if you can’t not follow the rules (aka draw the model before your eyes in the examination) then you out, no exception. There’s no time to admire the so called ‘artiststic’ mind, it’s a war zone where people speak with raw skill on each pencil stroke.
I mean.... Creating an imaginary world is the entire basis of fiction. This is one of them.I internally cringe in response to this fantasy. Plainly, the author/artist, though possessing a high degree of technical skill, washed-out of art school in real life, and is now creating an imaginary world in which he and his kind are superior to those who didn't.

Yes, but the problem is in the motivation for the creation, and in the absurd rules of the fictional world used to attain the objective.I mean.... Creating an imaginary world is the entire basis of fiction. This is one of them.
