Well interesting someone actually said 10.5 after he basically doubled the first
how much money does he have on him imagine if he went into debt for this
(tho idk if 'checks/credits' exist versus the physical money) I wonder if now that everyone knows how much it's worth there'll be 'expeditions' and such for everyone to try to find/mine their own adamantites (esp since MC can see 'drops' other ppl can't)

someone wants to meet him, yeah that sounds like bad news.

It's always bad news, a love interest (tho unlikely given the vibe of this series so far?) or some annoying sibling like chara

That one fairy guy that died a while back he never collected the drops of but idk if something like that will happen again

I hope that shitty hero chokes on his new sword

might backfire but i guess it's too late unless the
dungeon core fairy can be sneaky and invisible and somehow 'adjust' it to be useless XD Or so powerful it's like "Requirement: level 55, 99 strength" etc XD

rich enough to use that luck potion for fun instead of grinding.
the potion requires philosopher stone and you need orihalcum to make that.

i mean other than being 'business partners' with merchant girls not like he's been swamped with adventurer duties/requests or so but i guess it's helpful that we wouldn't necessarily see a training arc but been a while since i read from beginning

cute icon by the way

"Oh my hero will get that sword so he can remove monsters."
"... are you the asshole who did send monsters to other countries? this is WAR!"
yeah, it does not matter if it is done in their territory. Nations go to war if a nation upstream mess with the rivers they share even if it is in their territory.

My guess is that the unknown person was a merchant wanting to talk with him, probably the metal is very hard to process, someone that woud spend so much money on it would be able to do it, so they likely wanted to talk with him being in the same trade.
alternative, it was someone that wanted another precious metal worked on.
For who missed the meaning of MC thoughts, the sword multiplies the user strenght, but that is for the buffs he applied on it, the metalwork itself is cheap, so the already strong hero would now try to hit enemies with a lot of force and a tool that can't handle the force, keeping it on its back or learning to fight with 2 hands, using it for light slashes would be the only way to make it work, it will likely break on its first use, burning 200 millions on its first job.

...Did his drinking that fortune potion end up passing the sword along to the Hero? For that matter, is that inadvertently extremely unlucky for the rest of the world? Or perhaps we should see it as lucky that the Hero got this early trash product rather than the stuff he makes later down the line.

Well. Emptying the coffers of a dipshit king probably isn't a bad thing. 200 million in MC's pocket is better than 200 million in that king's pocket. I suspect that he spent money meant for his people's benefit if it outbid another king though.

So we're all on the same page in assuming Touji running off here is going to come back to bite him in some way, right?

I'd wager that odds favor the "Hero" breaking the sword, not in combat, but just swinging it about in practice or at a target to get a feel for it's power.

As for the other guy wanting the Adamantite and wanting to meet him after the auction, That whole chain of events is going to come back and bite him in some way for the plot progression.

Deprui has a nasty habit of sending stuff MC makes the heroe's way....

Maybe time to sabotage them a bit with cursed gear that just looks amazing at surface level...
To be frank, the heroes shoot themselves in the foot even with DECENT Gear, and get other people caught in the crossfire.

Secretly BAD Gear would somehow make things WORSE for EVERYONE!

I think that is actually what happens when the hero gets that sword, that is, it broke shortly after he used it.

Like Touji said, the STR boost isn't all that great. Sure, the Hero gets a 15% Boost, but the rest of the sword's stats aren't that great. It's like giving the Hulk a stick that gives him an extra boost in gamma energy. So what happens if the Hulk swings that stick? SNAP! It would be better to imbue that STR boost in a piece of armor or accessory, rather than a weapon.
