See, I'm neutral on introducing Glorious Japanese Food to other worlds, where people can have different pallets.

But if it's just for the otherworlder? Yeah, of course they'd miss the food of their home.

Kinda silly to worry about budgeting when he's already loaded at this point.
I also like the detail that the natives have figured out how to do it as well, mainly through experimenting and trial and error.

I mean, that is EXACTLY how WE discovered many of our preservation techniques: Necessity as well as trial and error.

This makes the world in the story feel more grounded in reality.

Thanks!

i mean i assume it'd be like a 'grilled pineapple and meat' place but pineapples would be sweet even if she also wants pastries

good luck/take a break if you need to

always good to be reasonable so mc doesn't draw attention spending thousands in town every week lol if not just pay that chef extra every week since he's the only one interested in raw fish bowls

This chapter made me remember why I detest food chapters.
4 months for a meal.
Is annoying because the reason some manga, mainly isekai, get this kind of chapters is because the author had no idea of whatto do, they started watching TV, seen a food program and simply slapped what they had seen in the story.
I'm talking about the original novel author, as in the last decade a lot start coming from the website "let's become a novelist" where everyone can write their to be read and judged by others, the succesfull ones get a shot to a official adaptation.
As this novels are written by a someone venturing alone in the field they end up being affected by whatever is trending, and if the author gets a writer block it will slow down the pace, and they don't want that after making the reader see a new chapter every day, so they use food chapters to act as a filler.
When the web novel is adapted to paper and becomes a official light novel some parts can be changed, this kind of filler chapters is one of them, as on a book is a clear waste of ink.
If someone here checked JP light novels before the isekai shitavalanche they wouldn't find food chapters, at least not written so much in detail because at the time a meal was just that, a meal, or it was relevant to the plot with smething important happening, but surely not the MC reviewing the ingredients for a whole chapter (unless it was a novel made to talk about food).

Japan has one of the highest rates of reported parasite infections from raw fish globally, with
an estimated 20,000 cases of anisakiasis annually
