Sein meets a bunch of the new Mages, but they are creepy teen Ubel and hair-loli Sense. No chance he gets to meet hot middle-aged woman Methode? boooo. I want to see Sein's "AWOOOOOGA" moment.

Lineal getting hyped up means either she's going to get merc'd for power scaling, or she's a traitor! How else does she get those profiles of all the shadow warriors?

That's just the Press Release version. The US Military violates international laws on war crimes all the time. Sometimes accidentally, but often on purpose. Targeting civilians, attacking food sources, use of outlawed weapons like white phosphorous bombs, political assassinations, coup d'etat, anything goes. They even have a Law that states if any member of the US Miltary is tried for war crimes by the ICC, the US will Invade the Netherlands in retribution.
As someone else pointed out that's usually CIA Spooks and special teams. Fun fact, the CIA isn't technically part of the military, which is why they're always doing shit without congressional oversight and usually getting away with it.

My point wasn't that the US doesn't let war crimes happen, because of course it does, but like, some random E-4 isn't allowed to do whatever they want just because they believe it to be for the good of the country. They absolutely will get thrown in jail or used as a scapegoat, even if it's a US prison after an internal investigation rather than handing them over to a foreign body.

Also no way Serie forgot about Frieren right? the disrespect lol saying she's the only one who remembers Flamme when Frieren is literally there still alive as well
I took it as Serie is the last person to remember Flamme as a child rather than adult because that is the version shown in the panel.

Gosh the hype train is going really fast huh.
1. Lineal, i have a feeling that she's on deathflag rn, idk but phrase and gorilla missing can be linked to her maybe. the next time we see her, she's probably dying but manage to kill some enemy.
2. Phrase, i have a feeling that she is somehow also connected to serie ? idk just a hunch, that powerful mage with full of ambition, should be in someway want to obtain more power, where else beside living grimoire aka. serie ?
3. I guess this led to 3 party battle, Empire Magic Special Force, Continental Magic Assoc, and Shadow Warrior. where the one who want to kill serie is only shadow warrior i think
4. Where's Serie?? isnt falsch supposed to bring her somewhere safe?

I would be an unpleasant twist if Lineal is actually a double/triple agent whose loyalty is leaning more to the Shadow Warriors. What if she was trained as a Shadow Warrior first and then infiltrated the Continental Magic Association, only to be ordered to infiltrate the Empire by Serie. That would explain her combat prowess.

Me thinks Capitan Phrase could be Lineal... You need to infiltrate a high position to not get noticed. Plus with the top-tier info, it makes sense.
We already saw glimpsea of Phrase. First when she was young (50 years ago) in Glück's flashback and when she was old in Land's flashback. There is zero chance it's the same person as Lineal in Sense and Übel's flashbacks.

It's almost confirmed that Lineal is Kanone. Same long black hair, in pretty high position in Special Forces (Vice Captain), while also repeatedly let Übel and Land go without compromising her duty as the Vice Captain.

Phrase (Captain of Special Forces) and Löwe (Leader of the Shadow Warriors) seem to be of similar age. Wouldn't be surprised if they are actually working together "for the Empire" without the Emperor's knowledge.

Not surprised about Gorilla being a Shadow Warrior. His name is the same animal theme as the other male Shadow Warriors. So probably it's not that he went down the dark route, but he's always been a sleeper agent of the Shadow Warriors.

Same with Walross. It's not that he went from a Hero to an Assassin of the Shadow Warriors, but his 'role' just changed. As it was revealed some chapters ago, the Shadow Warriors can play a role for their whole life without actually got their chance to do their job.

So that's why the shadow warriors were so good with gorilla tactics.
What the fuck did you just fucking say about me, you puny mage? I'll have you know I graduated top of my class in the Shadow Warriors, and I've been involved in numerous secret raids on the South continent, and I have over 300 confirmed kills. I am trained in gorilla warfare and I'm the top archer in the entire imperial armed forces. You are nothing to me but just another target. I will wipe you the fuck out with precision the likes of which has never been seen before on this continent, mark my fucking words.

It is interesting that the shadow warriors are viewed as traitors. It makes sense with why Denken was confused when Sense confronted him but also it makes sense with how we saw that the empire is not in great shape (nobles like Count Armee were discarded, corruption probably grows, etc.)
There is a small path where Gorilla Warrior might be talked out the shadow warrior group and go in adventure with Sein. But I doubt it.
He will probably die and Sein might join Frieren's group definitely.
In any cases, I think there will be a closure on this relationship in this arc.

Lineal seems to be a good Serie apprentice to be able to make her kneel down in combat. But it is hard to tell the circumstances, as we know that Serie likes to play during fights. We never saw her in serious mode.

Anyway, it looks like the author needs time for the animation of the 2nd season too. I hope it delivers.
