What I like most is that Frieren stays true to herself at the same time she tries to be better. Even if she forgets about it, she is honest about it and attempts to rectify it even if she doesn't understand. She's really different as a protagonist and I like it. She's also completely different from the elf, twin tail, shot flat girl stereotypes.

She is funny too and so is the apprentice's stalking and mild tsukkomi
