i really hope we get straight to this and no angst....I bet he sees through the illusion because how rediculous it is to him.
maybe himmel, heiter, and her master alive with her forever...maybe even her old villageWhat would Frieren's illusion be? Diving headfirst into a chest and not getting eaten by a mimic, but finding endless magical tomes within!?
Good motivation."I just wanna fight."
She was offered a tome containing magic for flipping pancakes when they're perfectly cooked.I really want to get emotional over himmel dreaming of getting married to frieren, but her in a wedding dress made me laugh. SHE WOULD NOT WEAR THAT
On one hand, it's "just backstory" in a way, but seeing the old hero party interact is fun. And I'm not in a hurry to get anywhere, even if it means not seeing the other two for quite a while.I really don't want this arc to come to an end. This is the best the manga has ever been. Eisen, Himmel, Heiter and Frieren are just so fucking good together, I've been hanging on ever sentence and look between them.
Seeing beings written as thinking in alien ways has always been rather interesting to me. That's one reason I like Touhou and Unnamed Memory.Always excited to see the demons interacting, because the story established they got different way of thinking compared to human.
Honestly, I don't think shonen action mangas do shonen battles that well.A maudlin fantasy series does a better shonen battle than actual shonen manga.
Yeah, it's a classic. TV Tropes has an article on it, naturally.Stuck in an illusion that gives you everything you want? The same premise as the Mugen Train arc in demon slayer, an episode of justice league, and at least three episodes of Star Trek I can think of.
I like them. I'm about 50/50 on which part I like more.damn do people just not like fern and stark lmao.
Like here, they have range of feeling of their own. Interests, desire, fear, worries. But then like Macht's case, there are emotions that while they can immitate to trick people, they can't comprehend it.Seeing beings written as thinking in alien ways has always been rather interesting to me. That's one reason I like Touhou and Unnamed Memory.
The early chapters actually made me expect something more like those traveller human drama stories (like Kino's Journey or Elaina), where the war is finally over, and through Frieren we see how the world marches on.It also makes it feel like this series is all about Frieren. The framing from the start of the series was that Frieren's old journey was over but she would meet new people and make new connections. Now we're just forgoing all those new people to dive deeper on her and the past.
