The feeling of the main character and idea of the long life reminds me a lot of Spice and Wolf, especially the later LNs. Being compared to Spice and Wolf is a good thing.

The more we see of the past, the more clear it is that the hero loved her. I wonder if the reason he seemed to be single still at the end of his life is because he was always waiting for her...
And the more we see her remembering him, the more it seems like she may have been in love with him as well, whether she realized it or not.

Can anyone tell me why some people hate this series? I’ve read some of the old comments (super old comments as well), and they say it’s “trash” and “if you like this series you don’t have good taste”. I’ve even seen a few say “why is it number one?” The most recent ones even say that Berserk is superior. Why is everyone hating on this series? Any explanation would be appreciated.

I really like this manga and the overall feeling it has. That melancholic feeling and the reminiscing gives me feels ;_;. It's not so much shounen action-packed, but it's a nice view on what happens after that "main story" plot (or something). Either way, I really look forward to the next chapter.
