Hi everybody

I have reported some chapters in the past for various reasons, such as duplicate entry, but mainly for pages out of order.
And most of the times, the "out of order" reports have been tagged as refused and nothing has been corrected.

So maybe there is a good reason has to why it's been refused, but to avoid to repeat this process, I think it would be useful to add in the "My Reports" page the reason of the refusal.

Planned future feature. You can ask in the support subforum if you have report-related questions for now.

If you report chapters as "out of order" without explaining what the correct order is, the mod looking at it will put some effort into figuring it out. A lot of the time the chapter is also out of order on the group's website (where applicable) and as we probably don't read the series, it's hard to figure that out.

Still needs to 100% be implemented due to staff being able to just remove your ability to report for any reason that you know nothing about. or wont let you appeal such removal of report perms.

mod note - merged duplicate thread

Why wait until after it has been rejected?
I think a help description [for each reason] or even mandatory information would help so much more.
Still now, its just a textarea below with "Additional description" - nobody is able to guess/know if/what needs to go there. Seems like the report system was rushed without thinking about UX.

Look at the group claim form for an example of requiring mandatory information; this does not stop people submitting random bullshit without reading it, and if people don't care enough to justify their report a prompt isn't going to make a difference. The report system has to be openended enough to allow an "other" response that doesn't fit any specific template to handle edge cases, and that enables terrible reports regardless of what you do with everything else.

You can't force people to make good reports.
