I'll be honest, this new group of kids feels way more fun than Anya's previous "group" (which consisted of basically just Becky). Becky tends to do her own thing and drag Anya along for the ride or Anya just kind of rides along while Becky lives in her own world making assumptions. All three of the new kids genuinely get along and work with each other. Connie propositions Anya with the ghost story and the blueblood kid immediately jumps on board while the Crowley kid offers further info that gets everyone interested. Even more highlighted by Becky just noping out while the usual suspects of Damian's crew all agree to go as well.

I'm really glad Anya found new friends beyond Becky. Becky at this point is way too flat and boring, she isn't really doing anything to contribute to Anya's story. The most interesting thing about her is her connection to Martha who has a compelling backstory and connection to Henry who is also and interesting character that will likely become a future ally for Loid. She was a fine character early on as a means for Anya to have a normie friend to get her acquainted and "protect" her from immediately sperging out and getting thrown out of school but at this point Anya has established enough of a rapport for herself that she doesn't need the crutch so Becky's character has outlived its usefulness. We need an arc where she grows a bit if they want to keep using her but for now it seems the author is content with expanding the new friend group more and I appreciate that.
