The Holy Mirishial Empire are ww2 tech with pseudo modern/futuristic, they have jet aircraft, Alpha-3, and Beta-2/Beta1 (there is also Alpha-1 which is used for recon based on WN, maybe this is like a floatplane with jet because it's on Orochicalcum battleship?), and the speed around 550 kph.

Oh yes, there is mentioned the Gra Valkas Empire, they are pretty much the same as the Japanese Navy tech with American strength.

The geography and relative strength of nations is bizarre. 4 major continents sure, but the civilization tiers are really misleading. Parpaldia is in the third civilization area but its military appears comparable to first and second tiers though they seem less industrialized and more reliant on magic. Other Philades continent nations and every nation outside Rodenius continent shares technology and seem to interact as equals. It's just Rodenius Continent and island nations that are stuck in the middle ages and even further behind. I guess because Japan is an island nation they assume it's underdeveloped compared to the continental kingdoms? But why the convoluted civilization area system? It doesn't clarify anything!

There's the civilized world, island nations, and darkest Africa (Rodenius). Simple.
A bit of a spoiler but

blame the gods they like to send a bunch of countries in different time period in that place for some reason though it doesn't explain the lack of technology sharing that is happening knowing they have been in there for centuries or even millennia

The country of Mu was originally a Earth country untill it got isekaied.
As fellow earthlings they scientifically progressed in a similar way, just slower
Was refering to the holy nation though. They seems to be a bit further along than mu

There's another nation that has the word "holy" in its name, the Cryseilis Holy Kingdom, located 3,000 km Southeast of Rodenius Continent

Mu's military tech is a mish-mash:

1. Their army is pre-WW1, lacking tanks
2. Their navy uses pre-dreadnoughts but lacks submarines
3. Their biplanes are comparable to the Interwar Period

You mean Leifor, the one defeated by Gra Valkas? It wasn't holy at all. Neither do Paganda and Inretia. There are 2 (so far) confirmed nations in the New World that have the word "holy" in them

This. Magic would probably be used heavily as a crutch and anything that was not magic would get no where near the study, investigation and (most importantly) funding that legitimate science would get. Why would Country A pay 5% of their national budget on this "electricity" thing when they have lightning magic? So what if Mu has "mechanical wyverns"? We have our own, and we don't have to build them, we can just breed them. And they get smarter and more experienced. Clearly, spending this money on how to develop an "engine" is a waste of money!

When magic doesn't allow it, it simply isn't possible. Or it isn't worth pursuing. Or magic is "good enough."
It don't need to be about magic either. Something about Greece having invented some kind of steam machinery before Roman conquest, but concept wasn't pursued any further at the time. And why should they? What could steam machine do for ancient Greeks? Turn the wheels of a chariot making it move? Why bother when they got horses for that?

I was wondering: Does the web novel ever answer why such a massive portion of the American military that transferred alongside Japan just... sits on their hands doing absolutely fuckall in their ports and posts back in Japan?
It might have been mentioned, but I don't remember. Could have been something about garrisoning some of Japan's islands.

Eh, not quite. This same chapter also shows a bureaucrat waxing on about the political benefits of this happening. It's not just, "Oh, we are such gracious saviors! Look at us! Look at how good we are!" It's a political move.

Not everything is so black and white, dude...
Hah, I could say the same to you. The manga's just been glorifying Japanese culture so far.
Maybe I'm more cynical than you, but it just feels far too much like propaganda.

It's glorifying modern technology, as it should. Half the fucking equipment that they're using isn't even Japanese in origin. Like that F-15 changes from fucking up a wyvern because it's got a Rising Sun on it instead of an American roundel - it's still a western design and it's still modern technology.

...This is the same manga where Japanese tourists go to a place resembling Edo-period Japan that already exists in this world, which no longer exists in ours because Japan modernized and adopted western cultural and industrial standards. You're actively searching for shit to suit your own narrative while ignoring anything that doesn't.

Again: Not. Everything. Is. Black. And. White. Try nuance for once...

No, you see it in this chapter on panel 7, there is an image of the streets and the facade of some buildings that give a pretty good indication of where that particular nation stands in terms of development. On the same page you see that this is taken from the holy Milishial empire that is located on the middle continent, to the west.

Going just by those small sneak peaks i would guess that nation is further along technologicaly than the mu empire or whatever they were called who seemed to be based around the early 1900s.
