just think of the buildings.. some of them got sand as a part of the cement recipe.
the ground itself got sand deep down there.
even mountains got sand.
the air does have sandcorns flying in your eyes and making it a pain to remove them.
etc etc.
So it is NOT a weak ability to have.

I don't even understand this cause sand ain't even something Uncommon so his magic would still be super useful. Sand is basically everywhere it's just crushed up rocks like I'd understand a bit more if it was at least something less common like salt, but sand?

The only thing I've gleaned is that there's some kind of discrimination against derived elements versus core elements (Fire being a Core Element, Earth would be the Core Element that Sand Belongs to, etc)

But that would actually be an interesting thing to explore for a few chapters before dumping MC into Sandland where he can build literal sand castles or find water and food with ease.

I am dropping this manga though, there's only so much bullshit I'm going to go past the radar and just in two chapters they've exceeded that amount - how'd they even get him out there? That girl at least has a damn camel

I like how the very first bit of magic he uses, being able to instantly find water in a desert, should alone be able to make him a wildly powerful man. Being able to control access to water in areas without much of it has served as the basis of entire civilizations.

I wanted to see some smart uses of sand, like heating it up to create glass and make money that way, or maybe even use his "sand sense" ability to avoid monsters and detect food sources, but the guy just makes his own castle complete with complex decorations, furniture and a bed with no effort, and then DESERT ANTS GIVE HIM HONEY!!!!

Come on, this is worse than isekai slop!
