I assumed the weird dialogue from the cat was meant to sound a bit off in terms of how they speak, but still couldn’t understand half of what was being said. Meanwhile, noticed in prior chapters some weird phrasing on what should be simple fixes, such as the “Sand Goblins” instead being referred to as “Goblin Sand”.

If it’s going to be MTL, at least bring on a competent enough proofreader to assist on catching some of the more simple issues.

I don’t see any problem with MTL. In fact, I can’t wait for the day when we’ll be able to just throw the raws into an MTL and have it translate everything perfectly. But obviously, we’re still very far from that.

That said, in this chapter it’s clear that our friend is just tossing the raws into an MTL and uploading the result here on Mangadex without making the slightest effort to revise the text. There are a lot of errors you can catch just from the context because the translation doesn’t make sense.
