This doesn't really make sense, in the game you could play as other races and go into town, buy stuff, sleep in inns, so why the hell are there nonhuman hunters and no way to even buy from the street stall now? Is this the same game or isn't it!

And yes in chapter 0 there is clearly non human player characters. Inns and such are easily inferred from MC expecting them to be possible.

Also, it has real asphyxiation physics (and magical fire for some reason combusts oxygen with something? Does it make manadioxide?), but somehow she expects inns to be total safe-zones?

You are trying to follow the wrong chain of logic.

The logic isn’t game world-> becomes real->finding differences in the game-> oh no in danger

The logic is elf girl gets tied up in bondage->need someone to tie her up->Bandits in Racism City
And
Cute fox girl to be gay with mc->put her in slavery
So there is no inconsistency

The Mc needed to be super op and pretty, so a special race was given specific racism. This allowed the mc to be able to wander alone, this prevents someone who knows true world from explaining things to the audience. Since we weren’t told anything about how the world actually works, any inconsistencies created for other reasons can just be hand waved away as “another world differences.”

And the author needs things to be different from the game, how else were they going to draw an elf girl tied up on a bed. And how else was the author going to make a beautiful fox girl a companion instantly without slavery?

We might be missing some subtle phrasing/context since we're working off a translation, but my read on it is that this exchange in chapter 0:

Goddess(?): "Then please choose your reincarnation species."
Protag: "Usually, you'd choose from four species, but there is no choice"
Protag: "Then, I'll go with the event-limited, overpowered high elf!"
Goddess(?): "[High Elf] has been selected."
Protag: "What, really?! That's cheating!"
Probably would have been better translated as this:

Goddess(?): "Then please choose your reincarnation species."
Protag: "Hmm... we're usually restricted to the four main species, but it's not giving me a menu or anything..."
Protag: "If I can just pick any species I want, I'd pick the overpowered high elf race only seen during special events!"
Goddess(?): "[High Elf] has been selected."
Protag: "Wait, really!? Isn't this practically cheating?"

And that the continent/region/whatever has four "main species" (probably including humans, demons, and possibly some kind of (non-fox) beast-like race, going by Chapter 0 Page 9) with elves and their variants being an oppressed, shunned minority (but in a way that made it non-obvious in the game version: "no wonder elves hate outsiders and hide on their floating islands").

Alternatively: the protagonist mentions at the beginning of this chapter that this world isn't running on the "latest spec." Maybe in the game version she's used to they patched out racism, slavery, and sexual assault to ensure the game got a family-friendly ESRB rating.

shit got a little serious but everything is so unrealistic that i can't see this as a real world, it just looks like a hyper expensive VR game, also are you serious that she is going to trust a inn after everything that happened on daylight?

this story is a mix between reality with game mechanics so maybe racism in the game was just censored, i mean who would play as a character that get chased and beaten in every city they went to? i'm more curious if this is a parallel world or just a ultra realistic game because so many crazy things happens here hahahah like mc magically growing up with her clothes

The fuck was this chapter?
MC was captured by Professor Oak and Professor Roan, who were going to offer her to trainers as a fire starter for large sums of money alongside Miko the pikachu.
You are trying to follow the wrong chain of logic.
I was of the assumption that Protag-Chan and the majority of players were expected to chill the fuck out and spend the decades, or centuries, necessary to mature naturally and Protag-Chan being thrown into a mile freefall, lithobraking, and having to murder wolves for a week is a serious problem that asking for her own fuckable foxgirl to the goddess' gamble. So from protag-chan's perspective shes stuck in the Pre-Alpha of the game literally centuries before the game start. so her context on the disposition of society is completely out of whack... ironically because Protag-Chan is probably going to set into motion the events that lead to alot of the game's setting.
