Am I just used to isekai tropes? I fully expected within the chapter for her to have met the players, been betrayed/sold/left for dead and then a cliff hanger.

having watched WFA from this author and knowing they also wrote Redo of a Healer, i dont expect tropes to be invoked and subverted properly.

again, not true. World First Progression guilds the officers actually do work. the GL actively manages the raid roster and organizes the server economy (no, not the guild's economy, THE SERVER. For instance you needed 14 Blacksmiths in WoW currently to cover just what the plate wearers would need in week 1.) to leverage the raider's capabilities to their limit. they also schedule and organize Non-raid progression priorities to figure out who needs to go do what to give the greatest statistical advantage. Youre literally a CEO running a company as a WFGL and you cant fuck off because the Raiders have to be actually playing the game while you manage the guild. While the Raid is being planned out, the GL is making sure Utilities are all accounted for and that the characters who should be brought, are, and the benchwarmers are properly put in their place.

Theres a reason ive been criticizing the claim that Ayano is the GL. She lacks demonstration of the personality traits, and in fact has demonstrated the antithetical personality traits, necessary to manipulate people and tell them they arent good enough. The Prince/ss however can be read as a slight psychopath, which means they would probably be the GL, especially with their status as the Guild Second. BUT theres shit that a GL can do that you can never give to other players without glitches, which is why normally whoever is handling the Guild Management is the GL in a RWFG.

Maybe at first. But part of the issue is that after an idol career, many move into acting, singing, or just being an influencer. Those people maintain many of the same fans with relatively unchanging expectations.

Many different manga focus on how this ends up trapping said individual in the closet for a very long time.

Any idea if there were any successful idols that turned out to be gay, but kept their popularity?

We know he didn't defend her, because he said he is really sorry for being wrong about her. Meaning he believed the lies. We don't however know if he was harassing her too together with the rest of the haters.

Considering how apologetic he was, I made assumption that he did that too, but yeah, only manga writer knows.

Agree to disagree or something, in uncertain things we always make headcanons for ourselves.
