Funnily enough, I'm (ethnically) Chinese and my husband is white. I generally like veg while he hates veg. I disliked the Chinese vegetables I grew up eating (those tough fibrous leafy ones) but when we visited my home country my husband loved them. Then I spent the night at a (white) friend's house and their mom cooked dinner.
