This is something that a lot of isekai mangas don't take into account, most city folks don't know how to kill and salvage the parts of an animal, they would be hesitant about killong an animal even if it is the only way fpr them to survive, and then most would freak out at just the sight of blood alone, and the rest would probably be freaking out of the sight of the meat, bones, and internal organs while dismantling it.
